Les Cammazes
Les Cammazes is a tiny village (300 inhabitants) in the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Languedoc on the road to the lakes of the Montagne Noire, close to the Cathar country and plains of the Lauragais. This small village and its surroundings offer nature lovers, forests, heritage, legacy of Vauban and Riquet. The village is situated on the Sor River and the stream of Laudot at an average altitude of 615m. Bordering the department of Aude and close to the Haute-Garonne it is the ideal starting point for many discoveries: 60 km from Toulouse, 20 km from Castelnaudary, 80 km from Albi, 35 km from Castres, 35 km from Carcassonne, 80 km from the Mediterranean, 150 km from the Pyrenees. Near major attractions of the Midi-Pyrenees: Revel, Sorèze, Albi, Cordes, Lourdes, Gavarnie and the Millau Bridge.
